UP STF Nabs Two Reward Criminals in Daring Operations

In separate operations, the Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) has apprehended two high-value wanted criminals. One individual, Pramod Kumar, who was wanted in Azamgarh with a ₹50,000 reward, was arrested in Lucknow. He had been evading arrest since at least 2009, with multiple cases registered against him under various laws, including the Gangsters Act. The STF intercepted him in Lucknow's Qaiserbagh area following a tip-off.
In a parallel operation, the STF tracked down and arrested Rafiq Qureshi alias Lalli in Pune. Qureshi was wanted in Unnao for a murder that occurred on July 6, 2025, and also carried a ₹50,000 reward. He had fled to Pune after allegedly committing the crime and was working as a driver. He has since been brought back to Unnao for legal proceedings.
