Tiny Victim, Big Heart: Unsolved Murder Haunts Georgia Family

A chilling cold case from eight years ago is being revisited as investigators seek the public's help in solving the murder of Shanequa Sullivan. Sullivan, 23, was last seen on February 4, 2018, at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, where she worked in janitorial services. Her body was discovered by a fisherman on March 3, 2018, in the Yellow River in Newton County. The circumstances of her death, including the discovery of her body without clothing, have led authorities to believe she was murdered shortly after leaving the airport. Investigators with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and the Newton County Sheriff's Office have joined forces on the case. They are appealing for anyone who may have taken photos or videos at the airport on February 4, 2018, a day that coincided with Super Bowl Sunday. These images could potentially contain crucial background clues to her movements and who she may have encountered. Sullivan, described as joyful and trusting, was diagnosed with developmental disabilities, and authorities suspect she was targeted and tricked into transportation. Her family, who has been devastated by the loss, continues to hold onto hope for justice. Her grandmother, Sylesta Seabrum, expressed her constant thoughts of Shanequa and her desire for accountability for the "monster" who took her life. The family believes that justice will eventually be served, whether through human intervention or divine reckoning. The missing clothing, a burgundy smock with an ABM logo and black pants, is also a key piece of evidence that has not been recovered.
