The body was found in the Mal police station area of Lucknow, triggering panic in the nearby Bashahari village. The police have sent the body for a postmortem examination to confirm the cause of death. Meanwhile, a forensics team has carried out an on-site inspection, recovering a mobile phone and several other crucial pieces of evidence from the scene.
"The phone has been sent for examination to help identify the woman and trace those involved," said DCP North Gopal Krishna Choudhary. The police are now working to determine the victim's identity, how she reached the orchard, and the exact circumstances of her death. Whether she was sexually assaulted before being killed will be confirmed in the autopsy report.
Choudhary added that police teams are currently questioning residents of nearby villages in an effort to gather more information about the incident. The authorities are leaving no stone unturned in their investigation to uncover the truth behind this disturbing case.
