Ugandan security forces have arrested Mujurizi Moses, an individual accused of committing 38 murders over a 15-year period between 2010 and 2025. The Chief of Defence Forces, General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, announced the arrest on Monday evening, describing Moses as Uganda's most notorious serial killer and cannibal.
Moses is alleged to have carried out a series of brutal killings, sometimes targeting entire families and using a machete. In one reported instance, alleged accomplices broke into a home and killed all occupants. Other victims were reportedly lured with false promises before being murdered. While Moses has been apprehended previously, he is said to have escaped or been released under unclear circumstances.
Following his recent capture, authorities have reportedly collected physical evidence from his residence. Investigators are also reviewing unresolved missing person reports and homicide records from Masaka, Ibanda, and Kazo districts to ascertain any further links to Moses' alleged crimes. The legal process will determine the veracity of these grave accusations.
