Authorities have since arrested a 16-year-old boy in connection with the brazen heist. He was reportedly found with a knife and charged with several offenses, including driving a conveyance without consent and armed intent. The stolen scooter and the victim's mobile phone have been recovered by police. The teen has been granted bail and is scheduled to appear in children's court on December 15.
Despite the arrest, law enforcement is actively pursuing three other individuals believed to be involved in the attack. NSW Police Commissioner Mal Lanyon condemned the incident, highlighting its brazen nature. Local residents expressed shock and concern over the escalating crime in the area, with one witness describing the event as a "well-executed operation" that left the delivery driver distressed.
