Two men, Deepak Pandey (30) and Ankit Kamal (28), were discovered deceased in the Pandu canal in Kanpur's Sachendi area on Tuesday. Their prolonged absence and switched-off mobile phones prompted family members to initiate a search.
A missing persons report was filed on Tuesday afternoon, leading the police to launch an investigation. Information about a car entering the canal near Bachhaurpur village guided the search efforts. While the vehicle was successfully retrieved from the water, the two men were found approximately 200 meters downstream.

The bodies have been sent for postmortem examinations, and further actions will be determined following the autopsy reports and any formal complaints filed by the families.
