Blackmail Plot: Two Charged Over Explicit Image Threats

Two suspects, Khalid Bamgbaiye, 26, and Tiwalade Abimbola, 25, have been formally charged in connection with a blackmail case that preyed on a man through a sextortion scheme.
The victim reported that in 2023, he initiated contact with what he believed was a woman on social media. He was eventually persuaded to share intimate images, only to be subsequently blackmailed by those operating the fraudulent account.
Before reporting the incident to Nottinghamshire Police, the victim was coerced into sending hundreds of pounds. Bamgbaiye, from Southampton, and Abimbola, from Wolverhampton, face charges including blackmail and concealing criminal property. They appeared at Nottingham Magistrates Court and were granted bail.
