Summary
- Two St. Paul men face burglary and theft charges.
- Over $25,000 in merchandise, including rare Pokémon cards, was stolen.
- DNA evidence and vehicle registration linked suspects to the crime.

Two men from St. Paul, Minnesota, are facing burglary and theft charges stemming from a significant merchandise heist that occurred on June 27. The stolen goods, valued at $26,475.44, included a substantial quantity of rare Pokémon cards. The incident took place at a store on Diffley Road in Eagan, where surveillance footage showed the suspects breaking a window and bagging high-value items.
Investigators identified the suspects as a 34-year-old and a 37-year-old man. DNA evidence recovered from a bag left at the scene matched the 34-year-old suspect. The 37-year-old's parole officer identified him from surveillance video based on physical characteristics and movements. Phone data also placed the 37-year-old in the vicinity of the store shortly before the burglary.
Both men are also implicated in a separate theft of Pokémon cards in Osseo, Minnesota, in July, where a Kia Sportage registered to the 37-year-old was allegedly used in the getaway. If convicted on the Eagan charges, each man could face up to 10 years in prison and a $20,000 fine.
