The victim, a Class IX student, is from Bijnor and her parents are government employees. The tutor reportedly exploited a situation when the girl's grandmother was present. The FIR includes charges under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, and the SC and ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act. Police confirmed the accused has two previous criminal cases registered in Banda.
