On October 26th, 2025, a 22-year-old man named Pankaj was arrested in connection with the alleged rape of a 15-year-old girl in Faridabad. According to the police, Pankaj, a resident of Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, had been in contact with the victim for around two months after meeting her and her father in his truck.
The incident occurred when the girl had gone to eat momos with a friend in Kheripul. Pankaj, along with two companions, arrived in a black car and asked the girl to get in. They then drove to Vrindavan, where the companions were dropped off. On the way back to Faridabad, Pankaj allegedly sexually assaulted the girl and dropped her near her home around 3:30 am.
The police are still investigating whether the girl was taken forcibly, and they have not yet confirmed if it was a gang rape. One of the other boys involved has been identified as Shivam, who is 18-19 years old. The police are waiting to record the victim's statement, as she needs to be in a proper mental condition to do so.
The case has been registered under sections of the POCSO Act and the Indian Penal Code. Pankaj is expected to be presented before the court on October 31st, 2025, and the police will seek his remand for further investigation.
