Bail Granted, Then Alleged Triple Murder Erupts
23 Jan
Summary
- Suspect released on bail weeks before alleged triple murder.
- Bail was granted due to no violent offenses in the last five years.
- Court records show guilty plea for assault less than five years ago.

An alleged triple murderer, Julian Ingram, was granted bail on domestic violence-related charges just weeks before the alleged killings. Police stated that Ingram was released because he had not committed a violent offense in the preceding five years.
Despite this, court records revealed Ingram pleaded guilty to assaulting another woman in 2021, which falls within the five-year period. Ingram, 37, is accused of fatally shooting his ex-girlfriend, her new boyfriend, and her aunt, and seriously injuring another person.
Assistant Commissioner Andrew Holland confirmed the risk assessment at the time of bail, noting strict conditions were imposed. A manhunt is underway for Ingram, with approximately 100 officers involved in the search near Lake Cargelligo.
