A triple homicide has led to the arrest of 30-year-old Austin Fisher. JSO responded to a stabbing report on Exodus Way early Thursday morning, where they discovered Edwin Barber on a porch, having been stabbed in the chest. He was transported to a hospital but later died. Inside the Barber residence, officers found Savannah Barber, also a victim of stabbing, and pronounced dead at the scene.
Further searching of the area uncovered Shad Cole, who was found stabbed on another porch and also pronounced dead. The motive for the attacks is believed to have originated from an argument concerning $600 that was reportedly missing. According to reports, Fisher, who resided in a shed on the property, allegedly waited until the victims were asleep.
After the initial stabbings, it is alleged that Fisher returned to kill Savannah Barber, the mother of Edwin Barber's child, because she was a witness to the crime. Fisher reportedly then attempted to flee the area by paying someone $100 to call an Uber and confessed his actions to the driver. Fisher made his first court appearance Friday morning and is being held without bond.
