The accident took place around 10 PM when Ramesh was crossing the road near Sector 22. Eyewitnesses reported that a speeding black Scorpio SUV struck Ramesh, causing him to be flung several meters away. The impact was so severe that Ramesh sustained fatal head injuries, and he died on the spot.
Ramesh's colleague, Rakesh, stated that he had told Ramesh he was heading home, and Ramesh had asked him to go ahead. Minutes later, someone informed Rakesh that Ramesh had been hit.
