According to police reports, the couple had been living separately for the past two months after Trisha's illicit relationship with her nephew, Vishal, was discovered by Lalji's family. On the day of the incident, Trisha had gone to the gym with her friend Pooja, and upon their return, an argument ensued between Trisha and Lalji in the parking area.
