Towcester Building Society Ram-Raided by Stolen Telehandler

A building society branch in Towcester suffered severe damage following an early morning ram-raid. The incident involved a telehandler, which had been stolen from Payne's Nurseries on Watling Street. This stolen machinery was subsequently used to target the Nationwide Building Society branch located in Sponne Arcade.

The operation resulted in significant damage to the branch, with the cash machine being the target of the theft. A spokesperson for Nationwide confirmed the event and stated that the company is actively working towards reopening the branch and replacing the ATM as quickly as possible. Customers have been directed to nearby branches for services.
