- Nicholas Singh, on the run for 18 months, was arrested Friday night.
- Police found the 23-year-old with a firearm during the arrest.

After an 18-month manhunt, Nicholas Singh, an Indian-origin man previously placed on Canada's 'most wanted' list, was apprehended in Toronto. Singh, 23, had been unlawfully at large since May 31, 2024, and was the subject of a public appeal by the Ontario Provincial Police.
During a traffic stop on Friday night, officers located Singh in a vehicle near Bathurst and Dupont streets. Police allege a firearm, an extended magazine, and ammunition were found in his possession. This occurred despite a standing court order preventing him from possessing weapons.
Singh is currently serving a sentence of five years, five months, and 10 days for armed robbery and other previous offenses. He now faces multiple new charges, including possessing a restricted firearm without a license and occupying a vehicle with a firearm, among others. His arrest was reportedly without incident.
