The tragic story of Tony Parsons, a Scottish cancer survivor, is being retold in a new Netflix UK documentary series. Parsons, a former Royal Navy Officer, was killed in 2017 while cycling 100 miles for charity.
He was struck and killed by drunk driver Alexander McKellar, who subsequently hid Parsons' body in a remote peat bog. McKellar and his twin brother, Robert, concealed the crime, leaving Parsons' disappearance a mystery for years.
The McKellar twins were apprehended when Alexander confessed to his girlfriend, leading her to inform the police. They were sentenced in 2023, with Alexander receiving 12 years and Robert five.
