Gold Heist: Burglars Loot 60 Sovereigns From Teacher's Home

In Tirupattur town, a retired schoolteacher's home was targeted by burglars who made off with a substantial haul. The thieves decamped with 60 sovereigns of gold jewellery, two kilograms of silver items, and ₹15,000 in cash. The incident occurred on Sunday when the resident, K. Manohar, 66, returned home after a family trip.
Manohar, who had been living with his family in Tirupattur, discovered the break-in upon his return from Chennai, where he attended a relative's function. He found the door lock damaged and subsequently realized that valuables were missing from his house.
The Superintendent of Police, Shymala Devi, has initiated action by forming special teams to investigate the burglary and apprehend the individuals responsible for the theft.
