26 Sep
Summary
- A third person has been arrested in Tasia Fortune's death.
- Autopsy indicates the scene of the hanging was staged.
- Two other individuals previously arrested in connection.
A third individual has been arrested in connection with the death of Tasia Fortune, a 29-year-old woman whose body was discovered hanging from a tree in August. The circumstances surrounding her death have taken a disturbing turn, as an autopsy investigation concluded that the scene and the hanging were staged.
Eric Clark, 45, surrendered to authorities on Friday and has been charged with murder. His arrest follows that of Earnest Lloyd Jr., 25, and Jarques Ratliff, 51, who were also previously charged with murder in relation to Fortune's death. Information released by police indicates Ratliff had an association with Fortune, while Lloyd allegedly had a physical altercation with her shortly before her death.
Investigators have interviewed numerous individuals and gathered forensic evidence as they work to uncover the full details of Fortune's killing. Lloyd and Ratliff, who have pleaded not guilty, were denied bond in separate court hearings. Clark is scheduled to appear in court on Monday.
