Alesha McGee, a 40-year-old from San Antonio, Texas, has been charged with theft of property. She is accused of stealing three rings from the hand of a 98-year-old woman residing in a senior living facility in Castle Hills, Texas. The alleged theft occurred sometime before December 28, 2025.
The victim's daughter reported the disappearance of three rings—a sapphire, an engagement ring, and a wedding ring—from her mother's hand. An anonymous caller informed the Castle Hills Police Department that McGee had been bragging about pawning jewelry.
Further investigation by authorities revealed transaction records and surveillance footage from a local Cash America Pawn Shop. These records and video evidence directly linked McGee to pawning one of the stolen rings using her identification. The victim's daughter later identified the ring as her mother's.
