A McDonald's worker in Springtown, Texas, was arrested on Sunday, January 18, on suspicion of operating a fraudulent scheme targeting customers. Giovanni Primo Blount, 19, allegedly double-charged patrons for their food orders. Police stated Blount would process a customer's payment and then use a personal device to charge an additional $10 to $20 per transaction.
Authorities believe Blount amassed approximately $680 before his apprehension. He was booked into the Parker County Jail on charges of fraudulent use or possession of identifying information, facing a $30,000 bond. The owner of the McDonald's franchise confirmed that all customers affected by the scheme have received full refunds. The individual involved is no longer employed at the restaurant.
