Summary
- Christopher Preciado found guilty of killing a couple and their unborn child.
- He received a life sentence without parole for the crime.
- The killings occurred during an apparent drug deal in December 2023.

Christopher Preciado, 21, was found guilty of capital murder on Thursday, March 26, for the killings of Matthew Guerra, Savanah Soto, and her unborn child, Fabian. The jury delivered a life sentence without the possibility of parole for Preciado.
Prosecutors stated that the then-19-year-old Preciado shot the victims in December 2023 during what is believed to have been a drug deal. Guerra and Soto's bodies were discovered the following day after Guerra's car was found abandoned. Surveillance footage led to the arrest of Christopher and his father, Ramon Preciado, on January 3, 2024.
Ramon Preciado is accused of assisting in moving the bodies, and his trial is pending. Christopher's stepmother, Myrta Romanos, also arrested, had her case dismissed in November 2025.
The seven-day trial presented evidence, including the murder weapon found at Preciado's home. Prosecutors argued Preciado intended to rob Guerra and was willing to kill both victims. The defense contended the state lacked direct evidence and a clear motive, relying instead on reconstructions.
