The charges include preparation of terrorist acts and three counts of disseminating terrorist publications via WhatsApp in November and December 2024. Prosecutors stated Bashir's alleged assistance was not related to the synagogue attack itself, which occurred on October 2.

Bashir's trial is provisionally set for July 6, 2025, at Manchester Crown Court. He remains in custody and is scheduled for a plea hearing on April 17, 2025.
