Telangana Reshuffles 32 Top IPS Officers

In a significant administrative move, the Telangana government transferred 32 Indian Police Service (IPS) officers on Friday. The reshuffling includes a notable change at the Hyderabad Task Force, where DCP YVS Sudheendra was removed from his post following alleged policing lapses. He has been replaced by Gaikwad Vaibhav Raghunath, previously the SP of Nagarkurnool district.
Among the senior appointments, Additional Director General of Police DS Chauhan, the most senior officer in the transfer list, has been posted as ADG (personnel). He will also continue to hold full additional charge as IG, multi zone-2. J Parimala Hana Nutan Jacob, formerly Hyderabad joint commissioner (administration), has been transferred and appointed as DIG, CID.
The transfers also affect several district-level positions and specialized wings, including the women safety wing, Telangana Anti-Narcotics Bureau, and Intelligence department. Several officers from the 2020 batch of IPS officers have also been assigned new roles, indicating a comprehensive overhaul of the police leadership in Telangana.
