A 27-year-old software engineer's life was cut short under mysterious circumstances after attending a weekend party at a farmhouse in Telangana's Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district. The deceased, identified as Gandla Ramu from Mancherial district, was employed with a Hyderabad-based software firm.
Ramu and approximately 15 colleagues, including their team leader, had gathered for a weekend celebration. The festivities, which began on Saturday evening, continued late into Sunday. After midnight, Ramu was found unresponsive in the farmhouse's swimming pool.
Despite immediate attempts by his colleagues to get him to a hospital, he was pronounced dead upon arrival. Choutuppal police, upon arriving at the scene, observed injuries on Ramu's body, raising suspicions about the events leading to his death.
Adding to the challenge, the farmhouse lacked CCTV cameras, complicating the investigation. Police are currently recording statements from all party attendees and have registered a murder case based on the complaint filed by Ramu's father. The exact cause of death awaits the forensic and postmortem reports.
