In Tiruttani, Tamil Nadu, four 17-year-old school dropouts were apprehended by police for a brutal assault on a 20-year-old migrant worker. The attack, which involved sickles, was reportedly filmed by the juveniles to create content for social media.
The incident unfolded on a local train and continued after disembarking, culminating near abandoned railway quarters. The victim, Suraj, who had recently arrived in Chennai, suffered severe injuries but is currently in stable condition at a government hospital.
Investigators identified the suspects by tracing the video they uploaded online, leading to their swift arrest. Three of the juveniles were sent to a government observation home, while a fourth was released to their parents.
