Teenager Pleads Guilty to Murdering Elderly Woman in Ohio

In a disturbing case, a 14-year-old boy has pleaded guilty to the murder of a 64-year-old woman in Fairfax, Ohio. The incident occurred in February, when the teen, who was 13 years old at the time, broke into the victim's home and brutally attacked her.

The boy pled guilty to one count of aggravated murder, one count of aggravated burglary, and one count of strangulation. According to prosecutors, the teen had been plotting the murder for months, researching how to strangle someone and find a victim. After committing the crime, he even notified his social media contacts, boasting that "This one was a fighter."

The victim, Sheila Denise Tenpenny, was found dead in her residence on Germania Street. The Hamilton County Coroner's Office determined that she had suffered trauma to her head and neck. The teen's blood was found throughout the house, and Tenpenny had scratched his face and died gripping a lock of his hair.

The boy, who has not been publicly identified, will now be incarcerated at the Department of Youth Services until he turns 21 years old, which is the oldest a juvenile inmate can be. Prosecutors have described the case as "very disturbing," expressing concern that the teen may not learn from his mistakes in the future.
