Teenager's death linked to MDMA supply charges

A family is experiencing immense grief following the death of their 15-year-old daughter, Lilly McCarthy. She fell ill at a residential location in Hopton, near Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, and sadly passed away in hospital on January 24th. The devastating loss has left her family with "a hole in our lives that can never be filled."
Two 18-year-olds have been formally charged in connection with Lilly's death. Kian Lockett and Nathan Laffitte face charges of supplying and being concerned in the supply of MDMA. They appeared at Norwich Magistrates Court on January 28th and are next due in court on February 25th.
Lilly was remembered by her family as a "bright, happy and funny girl" with a presence that "lit up a room." They described the sorrow they feel as "the most extreme kind of loss that no family should ever have to endure."
