On the night of November 18, 2025, a 17-year-old girl was fatally struck by a ute in the coastal town of Redcliffe, Queensland. The incident occurred around 11:27 PM on Margate Parade, approximately 41 kilometers north of Brisbane.
According to the police, emergency services were called to the scene after reports that a vehicle, believed to be a white ute, had collided with the teenager. Despite attempts to resuscitate her, the girl was declared dead at the scene shortly after.
Investigators allege that the driver of the ute fled the area following the crash. Police have now appealed to the public for any relevant CCTV or dashcam footage from the Mabel Street and Margate Parade area around the time of the incident. They have also encouraged anyone with information to come forward and contact Crime Stoppers.
