Football Rivalry Turns Fatal: Teen Stabbed to Death

Tragedy struck Thiruvananthapuram when 18-year-old Alan was fatally stabbed while attempting to de-escalate a conflict between local groups. The dispute, which originated from a football match, escalated into a violent physical altercation. Alan, who was not part of the feuding parties, sustained a fatal stab wound to the chest while trying to intervene. Despite being rushed to the hospital, he was declared dead upon arrival.

Cantonment police have intensified their search for the key accused and five other suspects, believing some may have escaped to Tamil Nadu. Investigations are underway, including the review of CCTV footage to piece together the sequence of events. Two individuals, Sandeep and Akhilesh, have been arrested and charged with murder under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, while two minors are also in police custody.
