Teen Shot at East Side House Party

On Saturday night, a 16-year-old boy sustained an apparent gunshot wound to his upper body. The incident occurred around 9:40 p.m. in the 500 block of South Monumental Street, within the Denver Heights neighborhood on the East Side of San Antonio. The teen informed officers that he was present at the location when gunshots originated from a nearby wooded area. This occurred behind a residence where a house party was reportedly in progress.

The injured teenager was transported to a local hospital and is expected to make a full recovery. No other individuals were reported injured during the incident. Law enforcement conducted a search of the surrounding area but were unable to apprehend the suspect.
