An investigation is ongoing for the hit-and-run death of Federal Way teenager Abdimalik Abdullahi. The incident occurred on May 14, when Abdullahi was struck by a vehicle shortly after disembarking from a King County Metro bus. He was attempting to cross South 320th Street at a location without a designated crosswalk.
Tragically, Abdullahi's father was driving home and encountered the crash scene, only to discover his own son had been hit. Abdullahi was rushed to the hospital, where he passed away five days after the accident. The family has been traveling to be with him during this difficult time.
Months after the initial investigation began, a suspect has yet to be identified. However, in recent weeks, police have received multiple tips following the announcement of a $5,000 reward. This reward was jointly offered by Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound and the Abdullahi family to encourage anyone with information to come forward.
