A 17-year-old student from Nabha, who was in Class 12, has been found deceased in the Bhakhra Canal. He had been missing for three days. The student reportedly left home on October 21 to attend school but never arrived.
Subsequent inquiries revealed that the teenager had traveled to Patiala with two Class 11 classmates and a college student on the day he disappeared. He went missing shortly after this outing. His body was recovered from the canal on Saturday.
Following the discovery, the family alleged that the teenager was murdered. They pointed to several visible injury marks on his body, suggesting foul play rather than accidental drowning or suicide. A murder case has been registered against his three companions, two of whom are minors, as the investigation into the sequence of events leading to his death is ongoing.
