An 18-year-old man is facing felony and misdemeanor charges following a single-vehicle rollover incident in North Kalispell that left his passenger hospitalized. Toly Pavlovich Abramchuk was charged with criminal endangerment and aggravated driving under the influence after his BMW overturned on March 15.
Kalispell Police officers arriving at the scene found the vehicle on its roof with an unresponsive male nearby. Investigations suggest the BMW struck a boulder before rolling. Abramchuk admitted to driving excessively fast, approximately 70 mph, and testing the brakes when the crash occurred. He also exhibited signs of impairment and provided breath samples indicating a blood alcohol content significantly over the legal limit.
Abramchuk is currently held in county jail on $100,000 bail and is scheduled for an arraignment on April 2. His passenger was transported to a local medical center but required intubation. If convicted of criminal endangerment, Abramchuk could face up to 10 years imprisonment and a $50,000 fine.
