Teen Driver Flees Store, Causes Chaos and Hits Pedestrian

A Glynn County teenager is facing numerous charges, including assault on an officer, following a dramatic incident on Tuesday evening. The 17-year-old, Ja'niya Allen, allegedly initiated the event by throwing an item at a Five Below employee, striking them.
Following the altercation, Allen reportedly fled the store in her vehicle, causing further damage by hitting a parked car and a pedestrian. Glynn County Police Department officers located Allen and the owner of the vehicle, Myketa Allen, based on vehicle information and collision evidence.
When informed of her impending arrest, Ja'niya Allen resisted officers. Myketa Allen then allegedly interfered by grabbing Ja'niya and shoving an officer. Both were subsequently arrested and processed at the Southeast Georgia Health System before being taken to the detention center. No injuries were reported during the arrest, and the investigation is continuing.
