A shocking incident occurred in Rokha village, Rae Bareli district, where a 45-year-old madrassa teacher, Murtaza Hussain, was fatally shot by a group of assailants. The victim was en route to his home after collecting his newly married daughter from her in-laws' residence when the attack took place.
According to his distraught daughter, Ishrat Jahan, the attackers surrounded them, forcibly stopped their motorcycle, and then brutally assaulted her father. She reported being pushed aside when she tried to intervene, only to witness her father being shot in the head, resulting in his immediate death.
