Teacher Filmed Sex Act with Student, Shared Video on Messaging App

On November 10, 2025, disturbing details emerged about a teacher's exploitation of a teenage student in Melbourne, Australia. Troy Ollis, a 34-year-old teacher at MacKillop College in Werribee, was intercepted by Australian Border Force officers upon his return from a family holiday in Africa. An investigation uncovered that Ollis had filmed a sex act with a 16-year-old student under his supervision and shared the video on a messaging app.

Ollis has now pleaded guilty to 9 charges in the Victorian County Court, including sexual penetration of a minor under his care or supervision, intentionally producing child abuse material, and possessing child abuse material. The court heard that Ollis had become close with the student and they had been communicating via the school email system prior to the incident.
