- FIR filed against teacher Vinod Sahu after video surfaced.
- Internal probe launched; teacher allegedly used gun to intimidate.

An alarming incident unfolded at the Government Higher Secondary School in Dharnavada block, Guna district, where a teacher was recorded displaying a rifle on school property. The footage, which surfaced recently, shows teacher Vinod Sahu, from Rajasthan, entering the school premises on April 7, carrying a firearm and pointing it in various directions. This act of brandishing the weapon instilled fear in students and staff. Attempts by fellow teachers to de-escalate the situation were unsuccessful, as Sahu continued to wave the gun.
The Dharnavada police have registered an FIR against Vinod Sahu based on a complaint filed by the acting principal, Mamta Soni. While the exact nature of the weapon is being investigated, further sections of the Arms Act are expected to be added as the probe progresses. Local residents and the complainant allege that Sahu had a pattern of bringing the gun to school and using it to intimidate others.
In response to the gravity of the situation, the District Education Officer (DEO) Samar Rathore confirmed that an internal inquiry has been initiated. Action will be taken based on the findings of this internal investigation. Reports suggest that senior officials had been previously alerted about Sahu's alleged conduct but failed to implement effective measures.
