4 Aug
Summary
- Stalker allegedly pursued victim for nearly two years.
- Victim had cut off contact and threatened police complaint.
- Attack occurred during school hours with students present.

A 26-year-old teacher was fatally stabbed by her alleged stalker, Amit (21), inside a Faridabad school on Monday. Her family reported that Amit had pursued Sandhya for nearly two years, escalating his harassment even after she cut off contact and threatened a police complaint. This culminated in a violent attack at Saraswati Senior Secondary School in Sikrona.
According to Sandhya's family, Amit became acquainted with her in 2024 and developed an obsession. They claim he previously abducted her from her home and assaulted her husband. Despite village elders' intervention and assurances from Amit's family, the harassment continued. Three months ago, he allegedly assaulted her husband again after Sandhya refused further contact.
The attack occurred around 9:30 AM on Monday. Amit tricked Sandhya into meeting him at the school gate by using her husband's nickname. He then repeatedly stabbed her. CCTV footage captured the incident. Amit was arrested two hours later. Sandhya is survived by her husband and two young children.
Questions have been raised regarding school security, as reports indicate no guard was present at the entrance. The principal stated the regular guard was on medical leave. Sandhya's family demands the strictest punishment for Amit and accountability for his family's failure to control his actions.
