Survivor Recounts Horrific Abuse at TCS Nashik Center
22 Apr
Summary
- Employees faced religious ridicule and physical assault at TCS Nashik.
- Nine FIRs registered against accused for sexual harassment.
- Senior officials allegedly protected accused employees.

A survivor has come forward with serious allegations of sexual harassment and religious mockery at the Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) Nashik center. Beginning her employment as an associate in July 2024, she reported that incidents escalated from September 2024, involving inappropriate comments and touching by accused employees, including Shafi Sheikh and Asif Ansari. These alleged harassers reportedly made derogatory remarks about her religious beliefs and deities.
The survivor further claims that senior management, including the Assistant General Manager for Operations, actively discouraged reporting these incidents, effectively shielding the perpetrators. She described the workplace as "scary," with a group of accused employees operating with impunity. As of April 22, 2026, nine FIRs have been registered based on complaints from multiple survivors, leading to eight arrests, including suspended employees.
Tata Consultancy Services stated they received no complaints through official channels between 2022 and 2026. However, investigators report that oral complaints regarding misbehavior and assault were made, but no action was taken against the accused. The situation highlights a significant failure in workplace safety and complaint resolution at the Nashik BPO unit.
