Taylor Frankie Paul, known for 'Secret Lives of Mormon Wives,' underwent a substance abuse assessment in 2023 following an alleged attack on her ex-partner, Dakota Mortensen. During the assessment, Paul admitted to consuming vodka, stating she had not drunk for three months prior to the incident.
She reported feeling upset about her divorce and family situation. The counselor determined she was an 'intermediate problem drinker,' though Paul denied past or present drug use. The incident occurred in February 2023, with Mortensen accusing her of assault, throwing items, and causing damage.
Video evidence reportedly showed Paul kicking and choking Mortensen. A parenting class and an alcohol education class were recommended. Paul entered a plea deal in August 2023, pleading guilty to aggravated assault. Most other charges were dismissed.
As of a February 2025 progress report, Paul was reportedly complying with her probation terms, which are set to conclude in August 2026.
