The victim, who was a social activist and member of the Maratha Kranti Morcha, was allegedly strangled to death by his wife, Chaitali Bhoir, on October 27, 2025, during a heated argument over his suspicions of her infidelity.
Initially, only Chaitali Bhoir was arrested for the crime, but the investigation later revealed that Siddharth Pawar, a common friend of the couple, was also present at the crime scene before the murder took place. When the police reached the spot, Siddharth had gone missing, but he was later detained and allegedly confessed to his involvement in the crime.
The deceased, Bhoir, and his wife Chaitali were planning to contest the upcoming civic elections and had already begun campaigning in their area. The tragic incident has shocked the local community, and the police are continuing their investigation to uncover the full details of the case.
