Mother of Two Dies by Suicide Amid Abuse Allegations

Tragedy struck Tarn Taran on Thursday as Kulbir Kaur, a 34-year-old mother of two, reportedly died by suicide. Kaur allegedly consumed a poisonous substance, a devastating act her family attributes to years of enduring physical abuse. Her father, Nirmal Singh, revealed that the abuse began shortly after Kulbir Kaur's marriage 14 years ago and worsened despite the couple having two daughters.

Nirmal Singh further alleged that his daughter, before taking her life, expressed her distress to her sister-in-law, stating she could no longer bear the abuse. He added that he and his wife provided significant dowry and support, which Mantaj Singh allegedly failed to honor. The family's claims paint a grim picture of ongoing domestic turmoil.

The body of Kulbir Kaur has been sent for a postmortem examination at the Tarn Taran civil hospital. Based on the father's statement, a case has been officially registered against Mantaj Singh and two additional individuals. Police have initiated raids to apprehend the accused and are conducting a thorough investigation into potential broader involvement.
