- Police responded to two separate juvenile drinking incidents.
- Alcohol and vaping devices were found in a pickup truck.

Tamaqua Police addressed two distinct incidents of underage drinking within the borough's east end last week, leading to multiple citations. The first event unfolded late on June 15 near the Dutch Hill playground, where five males aged 13 to 17 were found with alcohol. A preliminary breath test indicated alcohol consumption by four of them, who received citations. A subsequent search of a pickup truck revealed alcohol and vaping devices.
Less than 24 hours later, on the evening of June 16, police were called to East End Park. There, three juveniles—a 14-year-old female and two males aged 15 and 17—were observed drinking alcohol on playground equipment. All admitted to drinking, and breath tests confirmed alcohol presence. Citations were issued for underage drinking, with one also cited for underage tobacco possession. Both incidents concluded with the juveniles being released to their parents or guardians after processing.
