Taco Bell Run Ends in Arrest, Pet Fish Named Baja Blast
31 May
Summary
- Man arrested for unlawful exposure near a Taco Bell.
- Live betta fish found in suspect's backpack.
- Fish named Baja Blast transferred to humane society.

In Flagler County, Florida, a man's late-night excursion to Taco Bell resulted in his arrest and the discovery of a peculiar companion. Brandon Irizarry, 28, was taken into custody shortly before 1 a.m. on May 28 for unlawful exposure of sexual organs near a side entrance of the restaurant.
Deputies arrived to find Irizarry with his pants down, seemingly unaware of their approach. He was subsequently arrested and transported to the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility, facing a $5,000 bond.
Investigators were surprised to find a live betta fish swimming in a plastic container within Irizarry's backpack during a property inventory. The fish, now affectionately named "Baja Blast" by sheriff's deputies, was healthy and transferred to the local humane society.
Sheriff Rick Staly commented on the unusual arrest, humorously noting that inappropriate behavior in Flagler County could lead to a stay at the "Green Roof Inn." The sheriff's office reminded the public that Taco Bell visits should conclude with a receipt, not a booking number.
