Sydney Gun Lab Busted: Assault Rifles Seized

NSW Police have disrupted a sophisticated underworld gun manufacturing ring in Sydney following a series of raids conducted this week. The operations resulted in the seizure of high-powered firearms, including an AR15 assault rifle and an SKS semi-automatic rifle, alongside a Smith & Wesson revolver loaded with 169 rounds of ammunition. These discoveries underscore the escalating threat of military-grade weapons being utilized in gang-related activities and drug-house defenses.

The raids, which took place on Tuesday at a storage facility in Kingsgrove and a unit in Bardwell Park, also revealed evidence of advanced illicit manufacturing capabilities. Authorities found pistol parts, commonly known as frames and slides, and dozens of 3D-printed high-capacity pistol magazines, indicating a domestic source for illegal firearm components. This suggests a growing trend in the customization and production of firearms within criminal networks.
