A stepfather is accused of killing a five-month-old baby in Swansea after a heated argument with his ex-partner. Thomas Morgan, 29, denies murdering Jensen-Lee Dougal, with prosecutors alleging he inflicted catastrophic injuries by shaking the infant while in a rage.
The court heard that Jensen-Lee sustained severe brain damage, multiple fractures, and extensive retinal bleeding. The alleged assault occurred on March 30, 2024, the day before the baby passed away.
Morgan was alone with Jensen-Lee while the baby's mother was at work. Prosecutors suggest an angry exchange of messages that day triggered Morgan's violent outburst. He later contacted the baby's mother, claiming Jensen-Lee was choking and had stopped breathing.
