Thomas Morgan, a 29-year-old man from Swansea, is on trial, denying the murder of his partner's five-month-old baby, Jensen-Lee Dougal. Morgan claims he attempted to save the infant, stating he believed Jensen-Lee was choking on vomit on March 30, 2024.
He told the court he discovered the baby unresponsive and, in a panic, shook him to elicit a reaction and attempted CPR. Jensen-Lee later died on March 31, 2024, after life-support measures were withdrawn at the hospital.
Morgan also faces three charges of causing grievous bodily harm with intent, alleged to have occurred between January and March 2024. He asserts that his actions were not intended to cause harm and that he was in a state of panic, refuting claims of rage or intent to injure.
