SUV driver attacks bus conductor on Moga-Barnala highway

On Monday, a Public Transport Corporation (PRTC) bus conductor was reportedly assaulted at the Dala village bus stand. The incident involved a man driving an SUV who allegedly attacked the conductor, Jagsir Singh, as the bus traveled from Moga to Sangrur.
According to initial reports, the assailant, Basant Singh, became enraged when one of his relatives stumbled while boarding the PRTC bus. Singh is accused of then assaulting Jagsir Singh. The injured conductor was subsequently admitted to Moga civil hospital for treatment.
Authorities at the Mehna police station confirmed receiving information about the assault. While the conductor alleges his cash bag was also snatched, this detail is still under investigation. The police stated that further action would depend on the official statement of the injured conductor.
