In Udhna, Surat, a tragic incident unfolded when Dhanraj Tayde, a 50-year-old man, was fatally attacked while attempting to de-escalate a conflict involving his son, Vicky Tayde. The altercation stemmed from a long-standing grudge between Vicky and one of the accused dating back approximately one-and-a-half years.
The accused allegedly approached Vicky in Buddh Mandir Gali with the intention of harming him. However, Vicky managed to flee the scene. As Dhanraj Tayde arrived to understand the situation, two of the assailants, identified as Vishal Vagh and a minor, restrained him, while the other two, Dipak Vagh and Yogesh Nagarade, attacked him with a sharp weapon, resulting in his death at the scene.
Udhna police have apprehended four individuals, including a minor, in connection with the murder. The arrested persons have been booked under the relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. Investigations are ongoing to ascertain the full extent of the conspiracy and the prior animosity that led to this fatal encounter.
